The Candyman and the New Mexico Music Awards, led by Jose Antonio Ponce, have joined forces to curate a series of career-building workshops tailored to musicians. These workshops are specifically designed to equip musicians with practical knowledge and skills necessary to thrive in the dynamic music industry.
Through this impactful partnership, we are dedicated to providing musicians with valuable resources and empowering them with actionable insights. By offering these workshops free of charge, both organizations aim to remove barriers and ensure accessibility for all aspiring musicians in their pursuit of success.
All workshops are free, do not require pre-registration, and are held at The Candyman.

ABOUT THE PRESENTER:
George W. Mahn, III
Artist, Composer, Producer
Vertical Leap, Gentry Avenue Productions
George W. Mahn, III is a composer, producer, and founder of Gentry Avenue Productions. After a successful career in business and IT, he returned to music with his original project Vertical Leap, earning critical acclaim and airplay on terrestrial radio, SiriusXM, and international stations since 2002. His genre-blending tracks have also been featured in films and arts productions.
George has produced and engineered music for a range of artists, earning award nominations and co-producing live showcases and benefit concerts for causes including the Dallas Police Honor Guard and local animal rescue groups. His work behind the scenes brings great performances to life through expert live mixing and post-production.
A St. Louis native, George holds a BA in English from Westminster College and studied jazz guitar at Webster University. He is a dual member of ASCAP and SoundExchange and writes about music and life on his blog, Vertical Tales.
